Lucas Leivala is back in action for Liverpool after suffering a hamstring injury in the Reds’ win over Roma on Saturday.
Lucas is still nursing the injury suffered in the 3-0 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico in April, which sidelined him for three months.
The former Bayern Munich midfielder returned to training on Sunday and was expected to play on Sunday after being sidelined for the first time since the injury.
“Lucas’ hamstring injury is not serious and he should be available for Liverpool’s trip to Roma on Sunday,” said Jurgen Klopp.
A further hamstring problem could be worse for the 25-year-old but he will be monitored by Liverpool’s medical staff on the sidelines.
“It’s a serious injury,” Klopp added.
Liverpool have scored a goal in their last four games and will be looking to avoid their worst-ever start to the season.
